Rehearsal dinners

Welcome your guests to our valley and reconnect before the big day.

Most of the places people marry in this valley are a few minutes from our gate, so nobody has far to come. You arrive to a table already set.

Driving times, taken from the road network rather than estimated. Treat them as “about.”

There is gravel parking for twenty and more on the grass, and four restrooms: two on the pavilion, one on the veranda, one indoors.

When everyone finally meets

Some of these people have flown a long way, and some of them have never met each other. Tonight they will, at tables under an open-sided pavilion with the valley behind them, before anybody has to be anywhere.

You are not producing it

The tables, the white linens, the setting up and the clearing away are ours, and they go wherever you want the evening: out on the lawn, under the pavilion, or indoors. What you bring to decorate, you put up and take down.

If the forecast turns we decide four hours before you arrive and set up inside instead. The room is part of the same booking, so nothing you have agreed changes, and the front barn doors open onto the creek and the ridgeline.

In time for tomorrow

Your evening ends at ten, and take-down runs to eleven on a four-hour booking.

What you still arrange

Your caterer, and anyone else you want here.

There is no kitchen, so tell your caterer to come ready and to bring ice. The staging area is on Design Your Event.

The wine and the beer are ours to pour, and whenever there is a bar we put one of our experienced bartenders behind it. Nothing with an open flame goes on the pavilion itself.

When you book we send you the Eden Vaile Rolodex: the professionals we recommend, and the places nearby where your guests can stay.

What it costs

What it costs turns on how many are coming and which day of the week it falls on. The weekend here is Saturday and Sunday, so a Friday evening is the weekday rate. You can book four hours or eight, and add up to three more to either. Every figure is on Design Your Event.

Questions people ask

Can we hold the rehearsal here as well?
The rehearsal itself usually happens where the ceremony is. What happens here is the evening afterwards. The hours you book are yours, though, and what you do inside them is your own.
Can we get in earlier to set up?
A four-hour evening already carries an hour either side, and we are on duty for all of it. If you need longer, an additional hour is something you add when you book, and it is one hour, used for setting up, for clearing away, or for the evening itself, whichever you would rather.
Can we have a band?
Yes, and you engage them. Noise ends at 10pm.
Do you have somewhere for people to stay?
No. This is a venue for the evening, not a place to stay. There are inns, cabins and hotels within a few miles in every direction, and they are in the Eden Vaile Rolodex we send you when you book.

Have the night before here, and your wedding starts a day early.
