Formerly 12 Spies Vineyards
About
Mike Brown left the corporate world to make wine.
He planted vines on this hillside above Rabun Gap, built a winery and a tasting room, and opened in August 2012. For the next thirteen years this was 12 Spies Vineyards: the wine, the mountain views, and a steady run of weddings, reunions and dinners under the pavilion.
He retired on 17 April 2026. The winery closed and the vines came out. He wanted to keep sharing the stunning valley and its views as a backdrop for community gatherings. That is Eden Vaile: the same ground, and hosting is all we do now.
We keep the setting unadorned, so that the beauty and bounty of God’s creation lead, and no two celebrations here look quite alike.
The prices, the hours and everything that is included are on Design Your Event, so that money does not have to be the first thing we talk about. This is a small operation, and you will be talking to the people who run it.
12 Spies was a community as much as a winery, and that community is the part we most wanted to keep. So the relationship starts here rather than at a booking: knowing us, and knowing exactly what a day here involves.
